A LITTLE ABOUT ME:I love to experiment with images and work with icons. (Yes, it's safe to assume I made the banners, because I did.) I love the CSI-verse and express that by making too many icons. I also love movies, but I rarely make movie icons because I like to take my own caps and capping movies is hard. I also love manga and anime, but manga icons are so complicated, so I'll dabble in it a couple times, but I almost never share them, except for my earlier ones. I'm always trying to improve, so if you have any pointers, please don't hesitate to comment.

Okay, I don't have a paid account for this name, but I do on my other, so I posted a poll over here.

I'll explain what I want.

I was thinking about how I should make stock icons and decided that it would be a good idea to do them by state. I'm starting out with California and New York, but after that I don't know which order to do them in!

So what I want you to do is to vote for which states the next stock batch should include! Here's how I'm going to use the polls: the two states with the highest numbers will be in the next post. And when I post that batch, a new poll with go up.

I'm totally back, and ready to work :)

So what's new with me? After China, I was really busy moving back to school and doing all that good stuff, and then I had to wait until I got my new computer (I got a MacBook!) before I could really do anything.

But not all has been good; I can't seem to find a good version of Photoshop, so I'm going to have to switch back to my old computer and then switch back to here to upload and share :) (Or, you know, I could download the trials, and when they run out use my old computer, hahahaha) Plus, I'm back at school, so I've been pretty much working :(

ANYWAYS, I just wanted to tell you I'm going to try and work on this journal more nowadays :) And I've been severely deserting my icon communities, so I'm gonna try and get back on those! (Sorry to thiscanbegin and those in my communities for deserting you for so long D:)

And now I've only come to announce my hiatus :(

I have, finally, made archive posts for the CSI-verse quote icons:
- CSI (LV) (so far, 334 icons)
- CSI: Miami (so far, 85 icons)
- CSI: NY (so far, 89 icons)

The quotes are in order by season, and then by episode.

If there is a screw-up, PLEASE tell me. Except, I know there is a problem with the the Night, Mother quote, and the first Slaves of Las Vegas quote, so don't tell me that. I'm at work, but when I get back, I'm going to upload them, and they'll be fixed!

And, I realize there are repeats, especially in the CSI (LV) post, but that was before I didn't accept repeats. So, now, PLEASE check these posts before requesting quote icons.

I'll be doing my miscellaneous quote icons later (for quote icons that aren't from the CSI episodes), I just have to figure out how to order them.

I'm just updating to say that I've finally changed my layout like I said I would, so check it out! Featuring none other than Tim Speedle because I lovelovelove him so.

Coding is done by the lovely wurlocke, but the background, colour coordination and header are by me :)

I've also moved most of my perma-posts that used to be at the front of my page to the end; I got tired of scrolling down so far just to get to my latest post, XD

Other the layout, which I've been working on during most of my free time for the day, I'm done.

A MESSAGE TO ALL LJ USERS!
Heard of a community called iconscraper? It's a community that is using LJ's "Recent Pictures Feed" to randomly grab icons, pics and small graphics posted *anywhere* on LJ (at any given time) and post them as icon posts for people to snag. AND it's hotlinking every single picture it's posting. Like 200+ pictures per post all hotlinked from various places on LJ. There are thousands of icons and even what looks to be personal pictures being hotlinked from LJ posts and posted in the iconscraper community. It's been reported to LJ by some people already, however there is strength in numbers.

TO PREVENT YOUR IMAGES BEING HOTLINKED:
GO HERE: http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console/
TYPE: set latest_optout yes

and for a community, type: set "for" COMMUNITY latest_optout yes (Change COMMUNITY to your community's name.)

This will prevent your images from being included in the feed.
Entries that are private or "friends only" are already excluded from the feed.

I've already done this to mine, and I'll be doing to my all my journals, no matter how friends only they are :) Just to be safe, right?
Anyways, hope this gets cleared up fast.

Also? This is probably the only time you'll see my mood. I took a look at the comm, because it hit an interest, and reading the comments pissed me off. I can't believe they PLANNED on this, that they know what they're doing is wrong and that it's stealing bandwidth, and yet, they're still doing it.

No, no new icons today.

First I'd like to say that I'm on an indefinite and unwanted hiatus.

Here's what's happening. School for me starts tomorrow and I'm probably going to get a job soon too (actually, hopefully I'll get a job soon; money is a need in college) and even with all that, taking a break from icon love was never an idea that popped into my head.

But, the issue of internet has come up. It's iffy, this connection. It'll work, and then it won't, and then I'll login, but it still won't work. Gah, it's so freaking frustrating.

Anyways, when I get the time, and the internet, I should be back on in a week or two. Until then, you can leave comments or whatever, but I probably won't get to requests for a while, sorry.

Just an update post of some sorts.

So, I haven't updated the screencaps as of yet, but I will soon, promise.

I made a million quote icons that I will update with later.

I changed the links of a couple (hundred) icons, but I changed the link in posts too. If there are any problems (aka, that annoying photobucket image shows up), please tell me!

I think I remember seeing a comment, asking me to do a tut on how I did my animation icons. Am I right or am I crazy?

I think I have finished your icon. My first try was horrible:
A) (35.14k)
I wanted it more fluid, and I don't think it could've been done anymore fluid, unless I had more caps (which is not your fault, I want to stress). And I don't like the "greg" I put in it.
But, I strove for excellence. So, I tried something else.

This was what resulted when I "tweened" the slides. A bit icky. And huge (103k)
Then I remembered the pretty flashy icons that would flash from slide to slide:

It was still too choppy and not exactly the result I wanted.
So I messed with it (tweening, erasing, changing the image&&canvas size) to get this master piece!
C) (39.8! Aren't I lucky? :3)

PS: I hope you like it, as they are all for you, except the second because it's huge and ugly. But the other three are yours!

A note to all of you: I will be accepting animation requests, though I think afteriwake at her icon journal does a much better job than me (though I don't think she has her animation program anymore D:).

Therefore, you'll have to choose between three types of animation styles:
A: Choppy
B: Flashy && choppy
C: Flashy && "tweened"
